Lloyd “Buck” Clevenger, 93, of Buckner Street died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. He was the widower of Nora Fleming Clevenger who died November 16, 2006. Mr. Clevenger retired from the Carnation Condensory and was a member of the Central Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel. He was born in Mason County on February 8, 1917 the son of the late Gus and Katherine Williams Clevenger. He is survived by three sons, Dr. Dan (Dr. Barbara) Clevenger of Shelbyville, Tennessee; James Clevenger of Maysville and Richard (Nell) Clevenger of Abbingdon, Virginia; Eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Evelyn Fossitt and Catherine Highlander both of Florida and Doris Havens of Wilmington, Ohio. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Clevenger and three sisters, Dorothy McPherson, Mildred Moon and Virginia Barnett. Funeral services for Buck Clevenger will be held at the Central Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 28, 2010 with Rev. Robert Donovan officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
