Maysville – Adalyn "Speck" Halfhill, 95, of Maysville, Kentucky died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the widow of Lloyd Calvin "L C" Halfhill. Mrs. Halfhill was a member of the Orangeburg Christian Church where she loved to sing in the church choir. She was an avid golfer, an avid fan of the Mason County Royal Basketball team and also the UK Wildcat's Basketball team and a member of the Mason County Homemaker's and a Kentucky Colonel. Adalyn was born in Murphysville, Kentucky on July 20, 1923 the daughter of the late Ollie and Nancy Adams Frodge. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Whitmore and Andrea Tolle; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harold Halfhill and by three siblings. Funeral services for Adalyn Halfhill will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2019. Burial will follow at the Maysville Cemetery.
