Allen Eugene "Buddy" Wallingford, Sr., 82, of Dover, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Kentucky. Mr. Wallingford was a retired farmer and a retired school bus driver for the Mason County School System. He attended the Maysville Community Lighthouse and Minerva Baptist Church, loved his family and his dogs and also loved to fish and hunt.

He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on March 1, 1943 the son of the late Eugene and Beulah Thacker Wallingford.

He is survived by his children, Allen E. Wallingford, Jr. (Melissa) of Foster, KY, Sally M. Garwood (Tom) of Florence, KY, Terry Wallingford (Melinda) of Dover, KY, Amanda Rankin (Alex) of Brooksville, KY, Jonathan "Tarpin" Wallingford of Meulenburg, KY and John Borgmann (Becky) of Augusta, KY; grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany, William, Madison, Gracie, Sydney, Kaylee, brennan, MaKenna, McKinley, Levi, Jaxson, Payton and Keith; five step-grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one brother, Ron Wallingford and his sister-in-law, Mary Wallingford.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Wallingford and his second wife, Jennifer Wallingford; his siblings, Ruby Wallingford, Bonnie Doyle, Linda Collier, Ricky Wallingford and William Reese Wallingford.

Funeral services for Allen Wallingford will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2025 with Rev. Harry Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Charleston Bottom Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Will Rickett, Allen Wallingford, Jr., Jonathan Wallingford, John Borgmann, Carl Wells, Chris Sutton, Terry Wallingford and Ricky Wallingford II.
