Obituary

Ann Loyd Breslin, 96, passed away peacefully on May 18 at Kenton Pointe Assisted Living Community, where she had been a resident since 2020. Mrs. Breslin was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 1, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Tyree Lydell Loyd and Elizabeth McFarland Loyd. She was the widow of the late Louis T. Breslin who passed in 1974.

Survivors include her four daughters Margaret Denham (Mike) of Maysville, Mary Lou Stahl (Jim Joe) of Cincinnati, Betsy Livesay (Mike) of Louisville, and Heidi Bowkamp (David) of Maysville. Eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Edwin Lydell Loyd and sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Loyd Clarke and Martha Jane Loyd Van Inwegen and her best friend, John J. Brannen.

Ann was a true lady who loved playing bridge and enjoyed happy hour with her friends and neighbors. She continued her love of bridge while a resident at Kenton Pointe, playing as recently as 2 weeks ago. She was an avid Big Blue fan and loved going to Keeneland. The family is grateful for the loving care provided by the Kenton Pointe staff, Hospice of Hope, and caregivers Barbara Payne, Norma Toller, and Norma Cansler.

Funeral services for Ann Loyd Breslin will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2023 with Rev. James Dougans officiating. Burial will follow in the Saint Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
