Maysville – Betty Jean "Polly" Haggard, 95, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center. Polly was the widow of Marvin Kenneth Haggard who passed in 2019. She retired from Emerson Power Transmission in 1990. Polly was a graduate of May's Lick High School and attended Seddon Global Methodist Church.

She was born in Murphysville, Kentucky on January 4, 1930 the daughter of the late William Paschal "Podge" Combess and Bessie Reeves Combess.

Polly is survived by her two sons, Kenny Ray Haggard (Robin) of Maysville, KY and Jeff Haggard (Shena) of Germantown; four grandchildren, Amanda Haggard of Louisville, KY, Chad Haggard (Sarah) of Spring Lake, NC, Elizabeth Stewart of Maysville, KY and McKenzie Hamm (Austin) of Flemingsburg, KY.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Perraut.

Graveside services for Polly Haggard will be held at the Washington Baptist Cemetery at 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025 with Rev. Robert Donovan officiating. No visitation will be held prior to the graveside service. Pallbearers will be Chad Haggard, Greg Haggard, David Haggard, Steve Haggard, Brian Haggard and Austin Hamm. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
