Billy Joel Burchield, Sr., 72, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on May 20, 2026. Mr. Burchfield was retired from the Miami Fort Power Plant. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Billy was born in Madison, Indiana on September 10, 1953 the son of the late William and Mary Helen Sutter.

Survivors include his children, Mary Kraft of West Carrollton, OH and Billy Joel Burchfield, II; one granddaughter, Violet Kraft; one sister, Donna Burchfiled of Arkansas; one niece, Dionna Schneider and one great nephew, James Schnieder.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pearl Benge Burchfield and his son, Michael Burchfield.
