Christopher McHugh, 70, of Maysville, Kentucky died Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Chris retired from Browning-EPT after forty-one years of service. He was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and a graduate of Morehead State University with a BBA and MBA. He was also an avid farmer and golfer, a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and had served in the US Army Reserves. Chris was born in Maysville, Kentucky on December 29, 1948, the son of the late Pete and Margaret Kreidler McHugh. He is survived by his wife, Rita Fraley McHugh; his son, Christopher Brian "Otis" McHugh of Maysville and his daughter, Rebecca (Burton) Elrod of Denver, Colorado; his soon expected granddaughter, "Bubbles" Faye Elrod, due in November 2019; his brother, Bill (Toni) McHugh of Richmond, KY and his sister, Peggy (Terry) Heflin of Perdido Bay, FL. Besides Chris' parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemary "Buds" Weber McHugh. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Saint Patrick Catholic Church on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Andrew Young and Rev. Tom Kreidler as celebrants. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Brian McHugh, Bill McHugh, Terry Heflin, Ray Young, Rusty McHugh, and Gerald Fraley. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the Mass. Memorials may be made to the St. Patrick Church, 110 East Third Street, Maysville, KY 41056, Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056, Kentucky Gateway Museum Center, 215 Sutton Street Maysville, KY 41056, and Women's Crisis Center PO Box 484, Maysville KY 41056.
