Constance "Connie" Lee Hehner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, at the age of 76. Born with a heart full of kindness, she had an infectious smile that could light up any room and a laugh that brought joy to all who knew her.

Connie shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Glenn Hehner, who remains to cherish her memory. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes their two children, Christi Schmidt (Dale) and Keith Hehner (Tonya). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Tayler Schmidt, Josh Hehner, Dalton Hehner, and Jessica Hehner, and a great grandmother to Hudson Hehner, Harlow Hehner, and Maci Webb.

She is also survived by her dear brother, Vic Pohlman, who held a very special place in her heart.

She dedicated her career to helping others as an optician, but beyond her work, Connie's greatest passion was for animals, whom she loved as much as—if not more than—people. She was known for rescuing and caring for countless animals over the years, including an injured baby deer, embodying a compassion that knew no bounds.

Her kindness, humor, smile, and unwavering love for her family and animals will never be forgotten. In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Connie's honor to Hospice of Hope or the Mason County Animal Shelter.

Her laughter will echo in our memories, and her love will forever remain in our hearts.
