David James Thomas, 51, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the UK Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky. David was born in Lexington, Kentucky on April 7, 1974 the son of Tommy A. Thomas (Patti) of Maysville, Kentucky and the late Pamela Kay Marshall.

Besides his father and stepmother, he is survived by his children, Katelyn Thomas, Monte Wisecup and Mark Wisecup; his grandchildren, Connor Blevins, Carter Thomas, Izabella Blevins and Gabriella Blevins; his siblings, Danny Marshall, Sarah Thomas and Mandi Thomas; his aunt, Kim Marshall and his ex-wife, Teresa Tolle.

Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Nancy Thomas, Jim and Betty Marshall and Joe and Jane Boling.

Funeral services for David Thomas will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2025 with Rev. Paul Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Wisecup, Dylan Moore, Orion Smith, Hunter Thomas, Bryceson Clos and Aiden Samudio. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
