Diane Dudley
Rosser
May 24, 1950 — Oct 11, 2024
New York
Diane Dudley Rosser was born on May 24, 1950, in Maysville, Kentucky. She was the second child of Mary F. (Rosebud) and Hargous A. (H.A.) Dudley Jr. Diane married and was later divorced from Gary Rosser. To their union two children were born: Gary Rosser Jr. and Crystal Dawn Rosser, who passed away in infancy.
Diane grew up in Maysville but spent most of her adult life in Harlem, New York. She worked at Verizon telephone company for many years and retired in 1996. During her life she also worked in other industries as a cosmetologist, a travel agency and Clyde's Super Market. Diane was a woman of faith and attended the First Corinthians Baptist church in Harlem, NY.
Diane loved antiques, shopping, and talking on the phone (even when you couldn't understand her). All who knew her would agree that "she never met a stranger". As friendly and generous as she was, she also had no problem speaking her mind and no one was off limits. That was part of her "charm". Diane had a strong independent spirit no matter what the situation and always advocated for herself. If you were on the streets of Maysville or New York, you knew to get out of her way when she was coming through on her hot rod scooter. To know her is to love her. Diane's fiery spirit and magnetic presence will be greatly missed.
Diane was called home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2024. Preceding her in death was her daughter Crystal Dawn Rosser, her brother Bryant Dudley and her father H. A. Dudley II. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: One son, Gary Rosser Jr (Cupid); her mother Mary F. Dudley; four brothers, Gregory Dudley, H.A. Dudley III, Kirk Dudley and Dirk Dudley; two sisters Billy Rose Bishop (Glenn) and Mary Julia Dudley; two grandsons, Garren and Gavin Rosser; Charlene Parker and family (New York), and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Special acknowledgement to Charlene Parker, who was her beloved best friend/sister. We are forever grateful for your love and dedication to Diane to the very end.
