Elgin Grandison, 84, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Mr. Grandison retired from the City of Maysville. He had formerly worked for the railway, stripped tobacco and drove and operated the city garbage truck. Elgin was of the Christian faith. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on November 16, 1938 the son of the late William E. and Mattie Beckley Grandison.

He is survived by four sons, Joshua Grandison and Lordale Grandison both of Maysville, KY and Elgin Jerome Grandison (Angela) and Roy T. Grandison both of Cincinnati, OH; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and two sister-in-laws, Joyce Grandison and Pamela Grandison as well as a host of other family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ava Grandison; his granddaughter, Miya Grandison; brothers, Kelly Grandison, Herman Grandison, Robert Grandison, David Grandison, James Grandison and Roy Grandison and sisters, Wilma Jean Cox, Nida Green, Sheila Jones and Nelia Washington.

Memorial services for Elgin Grandison will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at noon on Saturday, April 22, 2023 with a memorial visitation beginning from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
