Frank Russell "Rusty" Case, 77, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Homestead Post Acute facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Frank was a veteran of the United States Marines and served from 1966 to 1974, including 2 tours of duty in Vietnam.
Frank was born October 10, 1947, in Maysville, Kentucky, to the late Harry Eugene Case and Kathryn Atherton Fishter (George) of Maysville, Kentucky. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and the national Disabled American Veterans Organization.
He is survived by his sister, Jeannette Fishter Fleming (Jerry) of Maysville; brothers, George Fishter III (Lexington), David Fishter (Maysville), and Stuart Fishter (Lexington).
Funeral services for Mr. Case will be at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with Mr. Ron Taylor of Brooksville, officiating. Pallbearers will be his 3 brothers, George Fishter III, David Fishter, Stuart Fishter, and his 3 nephews, Joseph Fleming, George Fishter IV, and Andrew Fishter. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the hour of the service. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
