George Arthur Greene, 73, of Maysville passed away on November 11, 2018 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Greene was born in Maysville, KY on May 3, 1945, the son of the late Carl Greene and Fannie Lee Jones Greene. He was a retired plant manager for US Postal Service in Los Angeles, CA. George was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church and had also played for the Spartans Softball Team in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Greene is survived by two sons, Juan Owens (Annetta Peacock) of Columbus, OH. And Dameon Greene, Sr. (Beverly) of Los Angeles, CA; a stepdaughter, Dionne Wilburne of Cleveland, OH; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; four sisters, Hilda Hord, Velma Wilburn, Linda McGriff all of Maysville and Odessa Stewart of Sierra Vista, AZ; 1 brother, Ulysses Greene; 3 sister-in-laws; 1 brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral services for George A. Greene will be held at the Scott United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor James Turley officiating. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to the Scott UMC.
