Maysville – Gerald B Henry Sr., 89, of Maysville, Kentucky died Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit at Drake Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the widower of Dorothy Jean Henry who died April 25, 2007. Mr. Henry was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a graduate of Lockland Wayne High School, attended Philander Smith College in Arkansas and a veteran of the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky on August 4, 1930 the son of the late Calvin Henry, Sr. and Ida Mae Powell Henry. Survivors include his children, Gerald Henry, Jr., Charles Henry, Gregory Henry, Larry Henry, David Henry, Cheryl Slack, Joni Richardson, Mary Carol Henry and Anita Greene and his brother, Ronald Henry. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin Henry, Jr. and James Henry and sisters, Martha Mae Cummins, Sandra Commodore, Maxine Bryant and Joann Bean. Funeral services for Gerald B. Henry will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Burial in the Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. The arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
