Greffrey Dale Rice, 58, of Lexington, Kentucky died Saturday, February 8, 2020 in Lexington, KY. Mr. Rice was a graduate of Maysville High School and was a veteran, having served in the US Army. He was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on August 24, 1961 the son of the late William Kenner Rice and Mary Elizabeth Steward Jackson. He is survived by his sons, Greffrey Dale Rice, II and DeAaron Ballew both of Richmond, KY; his brothers, George Jackson, Jr. (Devonna), Jeremiah Jackson and Timothy Whaley; his sisters, Joellen Jones, Ida Mae Nelson, Mary Taylor, Betty McClain,Lisa Bennett (Kirby), Angenette Figureoa and Francine Rice-Smith and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rufus Jackson and Barry Wayne Gibbs. Memorial services for Greffrey Dale Rice will be held at the Scott United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2020 with Rev. Claude Commodore officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. The arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
