Helen M. Houser, age 99 of Maysville, widow of Harlan E. Houser, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Hope at Kenton Pointe in Maysville on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. A leap year baby, Helen was born in France on February 29, 1920. She was a retired seamstress from the Whiting Manufacturing Company. An excellent cook, Helen enjoyed cooking and baking, especially her native French cuisine. She also enjoyed traveling, and working in her garden, tending to her beautiful flowers.  Helen attended Trinity United Methodist Church and lived the last 25 years with her late son and daughter-in-law, Dottie Houser of Maysville. Besides her daughter-in-law, she is survived by: her granddaughter, Christianne Lisette (Kenneth) Hobson of Catlettsburg, KY; two great-grandchildren, Lindsay Grace Hobson and Landon Kenneth Hobson of Catlettsburg; and extended family members in France. The family would also like to give special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Louise Miller, Geraldine Tulley, and Sherri Riggs, and to the Hospice of Hope at Kenton Pointe staff for their compassionate care. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jean Pierre Houser. Funeral services for Mrs. Houser where held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 26 W 3 ^rd St. in Maysville, officiated by Rev. Jim Fant. Visitation was held 10am-11am Saturday at the church. Burial was 11:00 am Monday at Arlington Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.
