Herbert Lewis, 92, of Maysville, Kentucky died Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lewis was the widower of Nellie Ann Lennex Lewis. The couple were married for fifty-four years at her death in 2011. Herbert retired from Dravo Lime and also owned a small engine repair shop at his home. He was a World War II veteran having served in the US Army as a MP and also received a WW II victory medal. Herbert was born in Clarksburg, KY on November 4, 1926 the son of the late John and Frances Butler Lewis. Survivors include his five children, Molly (John) Truesdell, Rebecca Funk, Chester Lewis, Clarence Lewis and Michael (Vicky) Lewis; his step-children, Michael Campbell, Jeffery Campbell, Debra Stahl and Vicki Donahue; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Besides his wife and his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Billy P. Lewis and his brother, Theodore Lewis. Graveside services for Herbert Lewis will be held at the Hillcrest Garden of Memories at 12:00 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2018. There will be no visitation.
