Jennifer Lu Collings, 62, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington after an extended illness.

Jennifer was born on Aug. 11, 1960, the daughter of the late Louis W. "Lou Jack" and Janice Batchelor Collings.

A graduate of Maysville High School class of 1978, Jennifer was affectionately known as "Biscuits" and "Chickaboom" to many of her friends.

In the fall of 1978, Jennifer moved to Atlanta, Ga. to attend DeVry University, where she earned her degree in computer programming.  Afterward, she became a successful programming consultant.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Maysville and Tates Creek Christian Church in Lexington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Clay Collings and her longtime companion, David Tubbesing.

She is survived by her brother, Cole Collings; nieces, Hollianne Collings and Kristin Collings Turner; nephew, Shannon Collings; sister-in-law, Peggy Collings; aunts Dorothy  McFarland and Mary Ann Collings.   She is also survived by several Collings, Toncray, Downing, Ingram, Workman and Carr family members, as well as her special friend, Lelia Coleman Brannen.

Services will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2 p.m., at First Christian Church, with visitation  beginning at 1 p.m. at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to First Christian Church, Tates Creek Christian Church or UK Good Samaritan Comfort Care Unit.
