Maysville – Jo Ann Clinger, 85, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Charles Roger Clinger who passed in 2005. Jo Ann was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on February 19, 1940 the daughter of the late Harry Thomas Applegate and Retta Pearl Browning Applegate.

Survivors include her special niece and nephew-in-law, Retta Mack and Sherman Frederick of Maysville, KY and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Beside her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Olliver "Gene" Applegate and Clayton Applegate.

Funeral services for Jo Ann Clinger will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2025 with Rev. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosemont Cemetery at Dover, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Sherman Frederick, Jeff Applegate, Gene Applegate and D. J. Noel.
