John Wilson Mitchell, 64, of Paris, Kentucky died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Mr. Mitchell was a retired truck driver for Estes Express Lines. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Paris, Kentucky. John was born in Maysville, Kentucky on April 17, 1955 the son of the late Wilson Myers Mitchell and Frances Roberson Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Debra Allison Mitchell; his son, Christopher Mitchell and his wife, Kayla of Lexington, KY; his sister-in-law, Wendy Mitchell; two nieces, Heather Mitchell and Kaylin Mitchell and two nephews, C. W. Mitchell and Jayden Mitchell and several cousins. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Laddie Mitchell and his father-in-law and his mother-in-law, Jerry and Norma Allison. Funeral services for John W. Mitchell will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, March 2, 2020 with Rev. Tony Liess officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Mitchell, Larry Buzzard, Dale Warren, Danny Wentz, C. W. Mitchell and Steve Allison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 PM until the hour of the service.
