Joyce Peed Mofford, 85, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Ms. Mofford was retired from Comprehend, Inc. and was a member of the Victory Christian Center. She was a 1957 graduate of Bracken County High School. Joyce was born in Bracken County, Kentucky on February 8, 1938 the daughter of the late William Webster Peed and Audra Neal Jett Peed.

She is survived by her five children, Mary Elizabeth McDaniel (Mike) , Carol Ann Villareal, Edgar Dale Mofford (Janie Faul), Jeffrey Allen Mofford (Donna) and Steven Joseph Mofford (Kelly); nine grandchildren, Stefanie Mofford, Daniel Mofford, Josh Galbreath, Cassandra Gonzales, Kaleesha Johnson, Tristan Villareal, Aliana Andrade, Chris Mofford and Tyler McDaniel and numerous great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Edward Allen Mofford and her seven siblings, Hobert Peed, Billy Peed, Louise Smith, Elizabeth Scott, Elsie Grigson, Jean Marsh and Hilda Turner; her grandson, Raymond Mofford and her daughter-in-law, Darlene Mofford.

Funeral services for Joyce Peed Mofford will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2023. Rev. Byron Mills will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in the Brooksville Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Brooksville, KY.
