Maysville - Judith "Judy" A. Brookins, 60, a lifelong Maysville resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Born on July 4,1964, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Beckley Brookins.

Judy was truly one of a kind. She had an incredibly kind heart and a genuine love for

people, so much so, that she never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time planting

flowers, hanging out with friends and was an avid online shopper…especially for UK

gear. She was always eager to share thoughtful gifts with her family and friends.

A proud graduate of Maysville High School, Judy dedicated many years of service as a

valued employee at Maysville Walmart and attended Victory Christian Center before her

health began to decline.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Charles Michael Brookins,

Kenny Brookins, and Suzanne Brookins and her still born child – Christina.

Judy's memory will be deeply cherished by her beloved soulmate of 18 years, Larry,

"La-La" Henry of Maysville, and her best friend, Wilena Fletcher, also of Maysville. She

is also survived by her two nephews, Justin Brookins and Corey Brookins; sister-in-law

Linda Brookins and a host of cousins and dear friends and her extended family, The Henry's.

A memorial service for Judy Brookins will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 7, 2025 with Pastor Byron Mills, Pastor Terence Taylor and Bishop Christopher R.
