Obituary

Maysville – Kimberly Ann Hamilton, 64, of Augusta, Kentucky passed away at to be with her Heavenly Father on September 17, 2025 with her children and her soul mate, best friend and husband by her side.

Kim was born in Maysville, Kentucky on August 8, 1961 the daughter of the late Thomas Asbury Ward and Mamie Eileen Blythe Ward. She grew up in Aberdeen, Ohio, attending school there thru the Eigth grade, attended Manchester High School and during her freshman year, she transferred to Maysville High School. After her graduation, working several jobs, including Clyde's Super Value, she joined the US Army, serving from August 1980 to May of 1982. After her time served in the Army, she traveled and worked in various places, including St. Charles, Missouri where she lived with special friends from the Army.

In 1984, Kim moved home to Aberdeen due to an illness in her family. In 1985, she met the love of her life, Rocky Hamilton and the couple married the next year on March 29th, 1986. They spent many years together, from Maysville, Aberdeen and Dover where they raised their children and loved having all the children in the area visiting and staying with them because they loved them all.

In 1986 she began nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1987. Her nursing career let her work in hospitals, doctor offices and nursing homes in Brown, Mason and Bracken Counties. She loved her patients with a passion and her love and passion for caring for people never failed.

Kim was affiliated with Crosspoint Community Church and if not attending services, she was always watching them online. Her faith in the Lofd was true and never ending. She loved her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her soul mate, best friend and love of her life, Rocky Hamilton; her children, Josh Hamilton, Nikki (Brad) Stephens, Brayde (Bethany) Hamilton and Brahm (Kayla) Hamilton; grandchildren, Laynee Hamilton, Saylah Hamilton, Blake Clark, Sidney Stephens, Noah Stephens, Riley Cochran and Rockland Hamilton ; sisters, Judy (Marvin) Harover and Debbie (Terry) Thornburg; sister-in-laws, Carol Bothman, Pat Wills, Charla (Rodney) McElfresh, Juanita Staggs and Diana Hamilton and many wonderful nieces, nephews and many great and great-great as well as many wonderful friends.

Funeral services for Kimberly Hamilton will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 with Rev. Harry Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Harding, Jr., Tyler McElfresh, Chase McElfresh, Kevin Wells, Jason Thurman and Chris Bothman. Honorary pallbearers will be her children and the kids that came into her life. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Hope, Women's Crisis Center or to our Veterans.
