Larry Garland Smith, 75, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026. He was the widower of Diana Dalton Smith who passed in 2024. Mr. Smith was an avid woodworker and loved to create and make items in his woodshop. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on April 3, 1951 the son of the late Garland and Lonna B. Smith.

He is survived by his three daughters, Pam Smith, Christina Bothman and Patricia Hickerson; step-sons, Michael Kindt and Matthew Dalton; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and his five siblings, David Smith, Jerry Smith, Joyce Golden, Marie Doyle and Sharon Thurman.

Besides his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Gene Smith and two siblings, Della Riley and Marilyn Doyle.

Memorial services for Larry Garland Smith will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2026 with a family directed service. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Germantown, Kentucky. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
