Lucia Kay Traxel Cochran, age 88, of Jacksonville, Fl. passed away peacefully Monday November 7, 2022. She was born in Maysville, KY on December 6, 1933 the daughter of William L. Traxel and Clara E. Brashears Traxel.

She graduated from Maysville High School and The University of North Carolina.

She is survived by her two sons, John Poyntz Cochran (Lynn) and William Duffield Cochran IV (Phensri); four grandchildren, Allison (Robert) Cambruzzi, John (Sara) Cochran, Molly (Max) Hudson and James Cochran; eight great grandchildren, Tripp, Luke and Catalina Cambruzzi, Jack and Charlie Cochran, Jane, Simon and William Hudson, and dear sister of Charles Traxel (Libby), James Traxel (Libby), Steven Traxel and sister in law Mary Traxel.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Duffield Cochran III and her brother William Traxel.

She graduated from Maysville High School and The University of North Carolina.

Lucia was an immensely talented artist, extremely  creative, intelligent, loyal and kind. She successfully managed and owned an interior design company for nearly 35 years in Marion, Ohio.

Funeral Services for Lucia Cochran will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2022 with Reverend David Sugarbaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Condolences at knoxbrothersfuneralhome.com
