M. Kenneth Haggard, 92, of Maysville, KY died Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. He is finally with his Lord and Savior. Kenneth was born in Maysville, Kentucky on November 30, 1927 the son of the late Malcolm and Blanche Wallingford Haggard. He is a 1945 graduate of the Orangeburg High School. Before his health failed him, he was a member and first reporter of The's Men's Club. Kenneth is also a member of the Central Baptist Church. He was employed at Emerson Electric Company for thirty-five years before his retirement in November of 1990. Kenneth loved working in his yard and his garden and playing golf here he impacted many lives and accomplished seven hole-in-one's during his later years. Survivors include his loving wife, Betty "Polly" Combess Haggard; his two sons, Kenny Ray (Robin) Haggard and Jeff (Shena) Haggard both of Maysville, KY; four grandchildren, Amanda Haggard of Louisville, KY, Chad Haggard (Sarah) of Spring Lake, NC, Elizabeth Stewart and McKenzie Mastin both of Maysville, KY; one sister, Anna Ruth (Ellsworth) Werline and one brother, James (Linda) Haggard. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester, Robert and Lowell Haggard. Funeral services for Kenneth Haggard will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2019 with Rev. Robert Donovan and Rev. Adam Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Haggard, Greg Haggard, David Haggard, Steve Haggard, Brian Haggard and Kenny Cracraft. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church, 437 Central Avenue, Maysville, KY 41056 of to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
