Madeline Ruth Maddox Rayburn went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Her spirit will shine brightly for eternity. Her faith and smile will live forever in our hearts. Madeline was a kind person, a friend, supporter, a teacher and a role model, a homemaker and the loving wife of fifty-six years to the late George Rayburn.

Madeline was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on July 11, 1933, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gladys Maddox.

She is survived by her two children, Lynda (Denny) Wilson of Versailles, KY and Keith (Lesa) Rayburn of Cynthiana, KY; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, one brother, Terry (Donna) Maddox of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lucille (Bill) Thomas, Ethel (Albert) Schreiber and Ken (Jan) Maddox.

Funeral services for Madeline Ruth Rayburn will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, December 23, 2024 with Rev. Greg Grimes officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories Mausoleum.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service.
