Mary Etta Tucker Adamson, 92, of Maysville, Kentucky died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. Mrs. Adamson was an associate of the Bank of Maysville for many years and retired from there in 1989. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church and involved with Homemakers Mailbox. Mary Etta was born in Maysville, Kentucky on October 6, 1927 the daughter of the late Benjamin Thomas Phillips and Mary Ethel Simms Watson. She is survived by her son, Phillip Tucker (Debbie) of Maysville, KY; her daughter, Kitty Comer (George) of Placentia, CA; one stepson, John G. Adamson (Rebecca) of Newport News, VA; five grandchildren, Stephanie Applegate (Bentley), Jennifer Wooley (Dave), Whitney Hardin (Jon), Kristen Comer Hernandez (Sergio) and Andrew Comer; two great grandchildren, Tyler Applegate and Madison Applegate; two step- grandchildren, Brian Adamson and Chad Adamson and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arvid Tucker in 1956 and by her second husband, John Adamson in 2008 and by her sister, Willa Mae Mitchell. Funeral services for Mary Etta Adamson will be held at the Central Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2020 with Rev. Adam Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church, 437 Central Avenue, Maysville, KY 41056.
