Nancy B. Brannen, 84, of Maysville, Kentucky died Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center. Mrs. Brannen was the widow of Clay R. Brannen, Sr. who died June 3, 1999. She retired from the Maysville Community College and she was a member of Saint Patrick's Church. Nancy was born in Maysville, Kentucky on March 9, 1935 the daughter of the late Frank O. Barkley, Jr. and Catherine Byrd Barkley. Survivors include her three sons, Clay R. Brannen, Jr. (Lelia) of Versailles, KY, Joseph B. Brannen (Dollie) and Eugene B. Brannen both of Maysville, KY; grandchildren, Nathan Brannen, Anna Brannen, Joseph Brannen (Rachel) and Eric Brannen (Carrie); one great grandchild, Ava Brannen; her brother, William B. Barkley (Pat) of Lexington, KY and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Saint Patrick Church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 29, 2020 with Rev. Michael Comer as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the Saint Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5 to 8 PM.
