Patricia "Pat" (Dunaway) Day passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on August 15, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Maysville, Kentucky, October 9, 1937 to the late Jacob and Beatrice Dunaway. A long-time, proud resident of Maysville, Pat's generous spirit was reflected in decades of volunteering at the Mason County Senior Center and the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was honored to be a multiple-time recipient of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) award for most volunteer hours.   Pat loved Kentucky basketball, sweets, and, most of all, her sisters, the "Dunaway Divas." All who knew her were touched by her kindness, thankful heart, unwavering positivity, and deep commitment to her family.

She is survived by her sisters Brenda Moran (Dickie) and Sharon Swartz; daughters Tina Hobdy (Bob) and Michele Travaglini (Nick); grandsons Trent Marshall (Cara), Travis Marshall (Erin), and Rudy Travaglini; great-grandson Conor Dance, great-granddaughter Olivia Marshall, and countless other family members and friends lucky enough to know her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Day; brother Harold Dunaway (Barb); and sisters Wanda Mastin (Gene), Carol Bussell (Don), and Lois Grimme (Meredith).

A service will be held at noon on Saturday, August 29, 2026 in the chapel of the Maysville Cemetery.  Attendees are encouraged to wear UK Wildcats gear/colors.
