Obituary

Paul D. Lashbrooke 68, of Maysville Ky died Sunday, October 27 2019 at Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky.
Paul served on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Rural Water Association (KRWA) from 1995 through 2018, serving two terms as President from 2000 to 2002 and 2008 to 2010.  Paul served as KRWA's representative on the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA) Board and was only the third recipient of the prestigious KRWA Leadership Award in 2017. Paul's guidance and leadership were instrumental in the creation of the Kentucky Rural Water Finance Corporation in 1995, which has loaned over $1.6 billion to KRWA members, improving the quality of life for millions of Kentuckians.  Under Paul's leadership KRWA has been recognized nationally for its innovative approach to providing quality technical and management training.  Paul was very active in regional water planning initiatives locally and throughout the commonwealth. He was a past chairman of Green River ADD Water, KY Warn, Kenergy's CRC, and Buffalo Trace Water Supply Council.  He was a past board member for Green River ADD and the Audubon ACS.
