Peggy Lee Smith, 67, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Smith formerly worked at Jockey International and she retired from Walmart. She was a graduate of Maysville High School and Maysville Community College and formerly attended the Maysville Church of Christ. Peggy was born in Maysville, Kentucky on November 3, 1955 the daughter of the late James H. Porter, Jr. and Christine Northcutt Porter.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Stephen Edwin Smith; her brother, James H. "Scrappy" Porter, III of Maysville and her sister, Darlene Mullikin (Joe) of Felicity, OH and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Staggs and Kathleen Porter and three brothers, Glenn Everett Porter, Mike Porter and Mark Porter.

Funeral services for Peggy Lee Smith will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 with Rev. Kent Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. Condolences at knoxbrothersfuneralhome.com
