Pernell D. Sweet, 59, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 7, 2023. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on January 30, 1964, the son of the late Zuddie Sapp Lewis and Sam Sweet. Pernell was a proud Bulldog and a graduate of Maysville High School Class of 1983. He received his associate degree from Maysville Community College and later was a member of the first graduating class of Culinary Arts Program at MCTC.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Dallas Lewis, Billy Lewis and Tammy Lewis Eagle. Pernell is survived by nephews, Nathan Coffee and Austin Elliott and his niece, Rebecca Bradley and lifelong friend, Rodney Smith and family.

Pernell was kind, considerate, witty and extremely intelligent. He had many interest which included movies, TV shows, music, history and reading books. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.

A family/friend directed burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Knox and Brothers Funeral Home. Condolences at knoxbrothersfuneralhome.com
