Maysville – Phyllis Ann Rankin, 86, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg. She was the widow of Harry A. Rankin who passed in 2011. Phyllis retired in 1998 from US Bank after thirty one years of service. She was a member of the Orangeburg Christian Church and sang in the Orangeburg Christian Church Choir and the Orangeburg Community Choir and she served the community by helping at the election polls and was a member of the Mason County Senior Citizens. She was a 1954 graduate of the Orangeburg High School. Phyllis was born in Mason County, Kentucky on October 31, 1936 the daughter of the late Robert and Carol Claypoole Watson.
She is survived by her children, Janelle Argo (Allen) of Ewing, KY and Ronald Lyons (Martha) of Nicholasville, KY; three grandchildren, Christie Cross, Trevor Argo and Sidney Argo; two step-grandchildren, Jennie Wolf (Andy) and Sean Potter (Becky); seven great grandchildren and a sister, Joy Gore Pollock of Brooksville, KY.
Funeral services for Phyllis Rankin will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 19, 2023 with Rev. C. Wayne Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until the hour of the service. Pallberers will be Sean Potter, Tony Argo, Mason Pollock, Andy Wolfe, Marty Voiers and Allen Argo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kathy Phillips, June Hale, Carol Ann Poe, Helen Kern, Charlotte Hilterbrand and Tilda Doyle.
