Maysville – Ricky Jay "Rick" Mineer, 65, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Rick was a 1977 graduate of Maysville High School, a member of the Ohio River Ratz Fishing Club, an avid euchre player and an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He retired from Hardymon Lumber Company after thirty plus years of service and then was employed with Headwaters at EKP.

He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on July 4, 1959 the son of Robert and Joyce Curtis Mineer of Maysville, Kentucky. Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Melanie Mineer (Kevin Howell) of Maysville; two stepchildren, Kaitlyn Henderson of Maysville and Nathan Henderson (Emily) of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Aubree, Collins, Sophia, Adalynn, Callie and Bella; and three siblings, Robin Haggard (Kenny), Keith Mineer (Sheila) and Barry Mineer all of Maysville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Chandler Mineer in 1999 and his special friend, Nancy Brooks.

Funeral services for Rick Mineer will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 17, 2024 with Pastor Marilyn Roades officiating. Burial will follow in the Charleston Bottoms Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Delbert Hester, Wes Hester, Mike Russell, Tracy Glascock, Randy Moore and Jason Myers.
