Robert Eugene Berry, 79, of Maysville, Kentucky, passed away on March 16, 2026, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, surrounded by loved ones.
Robert was born on September 28, 1946, in Maysville, Kentucky, to the late Birdie Berry and Christine Pleasant. He was a graduate of Mason County High School.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Berry, and close relatives, Ida Greene, Mary White, Rita White, Charles Bruce Corde, and Martha Corde.
Robert is survived by his sister, Shirley Greene; his brother, Harry Green (Laura); his stepchildren, Echo Jones, Latressa Graham, Timothy Oakes, Phyllis Kirk, Peggy Clark, Gina Davenport, and David Davenport; grandchildren, Shayla Jones, Sharice Giles (Erica), Cody Baber, Aliciona Strothers, Joseph Tull, and Alex Davenport. He is also survived by other close loved ones, including Victoria Corde, Charra Corde, Lance Corde, Donna White, and Charra Corde, and a host of other relatives.
Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Browning's Manufacturing and was an active volunteer for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program as well as the Maysville-Mason County Convention and Visitors Bureau (the Welcome Center). He was a member of Scott United Methodist Church.
Robert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time fishing. He also enjoyed working puzzles, spending time in his garage up until he became ill, and putting together model cars in his spare time. He will be remembered as the kindest person you could ever meet, always wearing a smile and bringing joy to those around him.
Funeral services for Robert Berry will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2026 with Rev. Claude Commodore officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
