Obituary

Florence, KY – Robert Knox Likins, 85, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Highland Spring of Fort Thomas, Kentucky.  He was a member of Burlington Baptist Church in Burlington, KY and a graduate of Maysville High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University.  Robert was a veteran of the Korean War having served as a medical corpsman in the US Navy. Mr. Likins retired after a career of over 40 years in hospital administration.

Robert was born at home on Market Street in Maysville, Kentucky on October 5, 1933 the son of the late James A. Likins and Eunice Knox Likins. He was preceded in death by his wife Arthella Rigdon Likins.  He is survived by his daughters Janelle Likins Pugh (Larry) of Virgin, UT; Beth Likins Claxon (Joe) of Florence, KY; grandchildren, Amanda Claxon of Florence, KY and Evan Claxon of Florence, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers James Likins and Richard Likins and sister Martha Zeigler.

A Celebration of Life Service for Robert Likins will be held at 11.00 AM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Central Baptist Church in Maysville, KY with Rev. Kent Holland officiating.  Burial will follow in the Saint Patrick Cemetery in Washington, KY.  Visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10 AM until the hour of the service.  Memorials be made to Central Baptist Church, 437 Central Ave., Maysville, KY 41056.
