Maysville - Ronald Dale "Ron" Buerkley, 85, of Maysville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.
Born on June 26, 1940, in Bracken County, Kentucky, Ron was the son of the late Raymond Clarence and Emma Pearl Buerkley. He spent his life dedicated to his work, retiring from Limestone Cablevision after an incredible 56 years of service. He was a member of the Maysville Church of Christ.
Ron was a man who valued simple pleasures and cherished moments with loved ones. He enjoyed hunting, vacationing in the Smoky Mountains, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia "Pat" Buerkley; his children, Michael (Janet King) Buerkley, Mark (Kathy) Buerkley, and Angela (Mike) Quillen; grandchildren, Ashlee (Codie) Pollitt, Garrett (Michelle) Buerkley, and Willow Quillen; and great-grandchildren, Bryce, Branson, and Brielyn Pollitt, and Kendyll Buerkley.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Blanche Cox; brothers, Charlie Buerkley, Raymond Buerkley Jr., and Ralph Buerkley; sisters, Ruth Holton, Mary Lou Brown, and Shirley Wolfe; and a nephew, Ralph Buerkley Jr.
Funeral services for Ron Buerkley will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025 with Bro. David Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Quillen, Garrett Buerkley, Codie Pollitt, Bryce Pollitt, James Cox and David Shepherd. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
