Obituary

Aberdeen – Thelma L. Ward, 83, of Aberdeen, Ohio passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Ohio Valley Manor. Mrs. Ward was the widow of Gordon Ward who passed in 1994. She was employed with Brown's Restaurant for over forty years. Thelma was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky on May 28, 1938 the daughter of the late William Johnson and Clara Kegley Conley.

She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey A. Woodward, John C. Woodard Jr. and Kimberly J. Sadler; her four step-children, Mona Burns (Wayne), Lori Fields (Timothy), Cheri Ward and Amy Ward; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son William K. Woodward and her siblings, Edward Meadows, Harry Meadows, Charles Meadows, Doris Marshall and Pauline Stambaugh.

Funeral services for Thelma Ward will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2022 with Rev. Kent Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Woodward, Rex Woodward, Jason Sadler, Timmy Fields, Colton Fields, Jason Burns and Tim Caudill. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
