Violet Highfield, 86, of Lewis County, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky. Mrs. Highfield was a Nurse Aid for the Maysville Nursing home for many years and also worked at Arby's in Maysville before she retired. Violet was born on May 21, 1938 in Lewis County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Willard Clark and Gladys Monroe Clark.

She is survived by her sons; Rodger Highfield (Noreen), James Thurman, Randy Highfield. Daughters; Mary Howard (Richard), Betty Howard (Billy Jr.) Grandchildren; Laci Highfield, Rodger Highfield JR, Robbie Howard, Scott Howard, William Howard, Justin Howard, Christina Herald, Tabitha Lewis, Mark Thurman, Randa Hartley and numerous great grandchildren.

Besides her parents Violet is preceded in death by her Husband Carroll Highfield; Daughter Sharon Thurman; Brother Charles Clark; and her sister Mary Thurman.

Funeral services for Violet Highfield will be held at The Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday October 9, 2024 with Sam Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Goodwin, Robbie Howard, Robert Hartley, Mark Thurman, William Howard, and Bob Thurman.
