Violet M. Jackson, 89, of Maysville, Kentucky died Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Mrs. Jackson was the widow of John Henry Jackson who died in 1991. Violet retired from social services with the State of Kentucky. Earlier in her life, she was an associate of the January and Wood Company and Browning's Manufacturing Company. She was born in Mason County, Kentucky on February 17, 1930 the daughter of the late James and Anna Frances Davis White. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her five daughters, Scottie Jackson-Jones, Angela Jackson- Buckman both of Lexington, KY; Christy Stevens of Maysville, KY; Rhonda Faye Huntley of Woodbridge, VA and Elizabeth Ann Porter of Indianapolis, IN; her three sons, Robert Jackson of Lexington, KY; Perry Jackson and Jonathan Jackson both of Dayton, OH; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two sisters, Fannie Mae Oliver and Mary Hancock both of Dayton, OH. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greenie Jackson and by five brothers and five sisters. Funeral services for Violet M. Jackson will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019 with Pastor Terrance Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery.
