Obituary

Wally Jewell Hinton, 81, former resident of Maysville, Kentucky died Monday, January 28, 2019 at her home in Lexington, Kentucky. She was the widow of Kenneth B. Hinton who died March 29, 2015. Mrs. Hinton was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Maysville and retired after twenty-five years as the Nursing Educator for the Maysville Community College Nursing Program. She also was involved with the Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief Program and the Kentucky Baptist Nurse Fellowship. Wally graduated from Morehead State University with a Nursing Diploma, from University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and Eastern Kentucky University with a Master of Allied Health. She was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on February 8, 1937 the daughter of the late Walter Scott King and Midia Holbert King. Survivors include her daughter Suzanne Hinton of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Martin Weaver, Caleb Weaver and Annika Weaver; one brother, Edward King (Janie) of Greenfield, OH and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank King and her sister, Eleanor Issac. Funeral services for Wally Hinton will be held at the Central Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019. Burial will follow in the Black Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 437 Central Avenue, Maysville, KY 41056 or to the Licking Valley Community College Scholarship Fund.
