Maysville – William Thomas (Bill) Simms, 87, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Mr. Simms retired from Browning Manufacturing Company and then went on to own and operate Bill Simms Construction. He was a member of the Victory Christian Center and a veteran of the US Marine Corp. Bill was born in Maysville, Kentucky on December 7, 1937 the son and the last of thirteen children of the late Leonard Mark Simms and Lula Hamm Simms.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Grayson Simms; four children, Ashley Simms (Penny) and Stephanie Kitchen (Ricky), both of Maysville; Robin Wilson of Ripley, OH and Troy Lamb (Christine) of Pearlington, MS; six grandchildren, Brandon Simms, Robert Bolar, James Bolar, Tabitha Lamb, Zachary Lamb and Kyiel Lee and eleven great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chad Alan Simms and his grandson, Jacob Acree Simms and twelve siblings.

Funeral services for Bill Simms will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2025 with Pastor Byron Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Olivet Cemetery, Maysville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
